Our lead veterinarian, Hugo Murrell, has a wealth of surgical experience, performing advanced soft tissue surgeries and basic orthopaedic procedures within our purpose-built sterile theatre. His surgical proficiency, including dental surgery, combined with state-of-the-art equipment and aseptic protocols, ensures optimal outcomes for every patient.
Surgical procedures are a key component of our daily operations, and our team is well-versed in handling a wide range of cases, from routine procedures to complex interventions.
Collaborative Expertise
For advanced orthopaedic procedures, we engage highly skilled specialist surgeons with qualified experience in complex bone and joint surgeries, ensuring that patients receive expert-level care tailored to their specific needs.
Emergency surgeries are assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the severity of the condition and the owner’s preferences.
Hugo has extensive experience in emergency surgical procedures and managing anaesthesia for critical patients, allowing us to perform urgent surgeries in-house when appropriate.
After surgery care
Greenslopes Family Vet Clinic is a day procedure facility. Cases requiring extended monitoring or intensive post-operative support, we coordinate transfers to a trusted overnight veterinary hospital to ensure continuity of care.
