Beth & Hugo - The husband and wife team
Hugo and Beth met on the first day of vet school at the University of Queensland. Both graduated in 2011, and their shared passion for animal care has taken them worldwide, shaping their expertise through diverse experiences. From working in rural mixed practice to the high-pressure environment of specialist teaching hospitals and an extraordinary chapter in Windsor, London, where they had the privilege of working with the Queen’s animals.
These experiences refined their skills and broadened their perspectives, but ultimately, the connection with families and their pets drew them home. Now, as trusted family vets, Hugo and Beth bring the best of their training, experience, and compassionate approach to every consultation.
A dynamic combination
Hugo has a special interest in advanced soft tissue surgery, complex anaesthesia, basic orthopaedics, and small animal dentistry. He enjoys the challenge of intricate procedures and ensuring that pets receive the highest standard of surgical care.
Beth thrives on building lasting relationships with pets and their owners. She has a keen interest in medical investigation and diagnostics, including ultrasound, and is deeply committed to compassionate end-of-life care, ensuring dignity and comfort for pets and their families.
Their combined experience means they can provide comprehensive care—whether it’s surgical expertise, in-depth diagnostics, or simply a reassuring presence during difficult times.
