Keeping your pet’s teeth healthy
Just like us, dogs and cats need regular dental care to keep their teeth and gums healthy. Neglecting their oral health can lead to bad breath, gum disease, and even more serious problems like infections and tooth loss.
Brushing your pet’s teeth is one of the best ways to prevent plaque build up. Use a pet-specific toothbrush and toothpaste (never human toothpaste—it’s toxic to pets!). Start slow, letting your pet get used to the process, and make it a positive experience with rewards and praise.
Prevention is easy
Prevention is always the best practice. While not all pets will tolerate brushing, dental chews and toys can help clean their teeth while they chew. Look for products approved by veterinary dental associations, as these are designed to reduce plaque and tartar.
